Ponchos
Okay, so everyone and their grandmother has one. But still, I'm partial to big soft things that wrap around me so I made one.
I used the basketweave pattern featured in the men's pullover in the Fall 2004 Interweave Knits and paired it with the Manos del Uruguay Poncho Pattern. Using Debbie Bliss's Cashermino Superchunky #18 (Pea Green) on No. 13 (US) needles, I gave the basketweave a garter stitch border which added a nice v-neck neckline. Here are a couple of snaps:
